Before starting, please make sure that you have an account in the Intento Console and a Team, Business, or Enterprise account in Phrase TMS. If you have not registered in the Console yet and don't have a production API key, kindly contact us via hello@inten.to, and we'll be happy to help.
- Log into Intento Console
- Go to Connected accounts → TMS settings → Phrase TMS
- Click on Connect with Client ID.
- Now, get the Client ID from your Phrase account.
How to find your Client ID
- Log into your Phrase TMS account.
- Go to Settings → Registered OAuth app.
-
Copy or create a new Client ID and enter it into the popup window on the Intento side, then click Allow.
If you want to create a new Client ID, use this value for the Redirect URI field: Console. Intento
Then, paste the Client ID on the previously opened page in the Intento Console.
You’ve now set up your integration.
How to add a new project or setup rules
After setting up your integration in the Console, you can choose two options for adding projects: manually or automatically.
Manual configuration involves a single step: selecting a project and the routing which all jobs in the selected project from Phrase will be translated with. Several projects can be configured at the same time. If several rules conflict with each other (have the same conditions but different actions), the first rule in the list (which is higher in the table) will be applied.
Selecting the automation option will display a screen where you can choose triggers to start the automatic processing of translations via Intento.
You can select the status of the job, who it is assigned to, or the step the project is in as triggers. You can select any combination of triggers.
Additionally, you can set a fuzzy match threshold for translation memory, which is calculated on the TMS side. Segments will be translated if their scoring falls below this threshold. Segments that come with fuzzy match values above the configured value will not be translated, and the translation will be taken from memory by the translation from TMS.
After creating a rule, it will appear on the settings page. If a job from Phrase meets the conditions of this rule's triggers, it will be processed through Intento.
Moreover, multiple rules can be added.
Following this, any projects within Phrase TMS containing jobs that match the configured rules exactly will be automatically processed using your chosen routing.
How to translate using Intento
Log in to Phrase at Phrase · Login and go to the Phrase TMS section.
Select an existing project or create a new one. This project must be added to the Intento Console manually or, if you are using automatic mode, must match the configured rule. How to do this see above.
Next, create a job and add a file to translate. Then click Create.
Finally, click on the file name to check the translation.
There you have it! All translations have been processed by Intento.
You can confirm everything has been translated with Intento by opening the jobs history section in the Intento Console. The latest translation will appear at the top.
