memoQ Pre-translate

In this section, you will learn how to:

  1. Create a new project in memoQ

  2. Specify pre-translate settings

Creating a project in memoQ

Before we can get a pre-translated result, we need to prepare our files. To prepare files and create a project:

  1. Go to Create a new project from template, and click Add documents

  2. Go to the directory where the files are located → select the files → click Open.

  3. Once you have one or more files added, click Next. 

  4. In the Project template information, make sure to select the Source and Target languages and enter any of the metadata, such as Client, Description, Domain, etc.

  5. Once you have entered all of the information, click Finish.

Pre-translation settings

After the project is created, you will see all your files in the Documents tab. To start pre-translation, go to Preparation -> Pre-translate.

In the Pre-translate and statistics window, make sure to uncheck the Fragment assembly settings checkbox (yellow) and check the Machine translation (green) option.

Make sure that you have the Intento plugin installed (Plugin Installation) and configured (Plugin Activation). 

Once the MT check box is set and your plugin is in place, click Finish.
