Install and Configure Trados Enterprise

In this article, you will learn how to install and configure Trados Enterprise.

How to Install the Intento Add-in

Please find the basic guide to installation in the official documentation. Additionally, here below are additional steps to configure our plugin.

  1. Go to the RWS Appstore section in the menu in the top right corner:

  2. Go to the Add-ons section and find Intento in the search bar:

  3. Click Install

  4. Fill in your API key from the Console in the configuration popup

  5. Click Complete

How to Configure the Plugin

To configure the plugin, we need a configured File type configuration - an available type of file configuration. To do so:

  1. Go to the Resources section in the menu

  2. Click on New File Type Configuration:

  3. Fill in the values and click Create

    The location select field is a folder system in the Trados Enterprise to store different resources and projects.

  4. Choose your new file type configuration:

  5. Choose the file types you want to translate:

  6. Go to the Projects section in the top menu

  7. Click New:

  8. Fill in the fields, and click Next:

  9. Choose Intento Translation Engine

  10. Click Add Machine Translation Model:

  11. Select the translation model and click Add:

  12. Click Next until you open the Workflow section:

    Make sure that the Machine Translation step is included in the workflow.

 If you want to edit your files in the segment editor, include the Translation step in the workflow:

  1. Assign this step to someone or a group of people. They will have access to the segment editor:

  2. Click Create

  3. Go to your project from the Projects tab and add the files you want to translate

  4. Click Start Project to start the translation pipeline:

  5. Track the progress of the pipeline in the Task History section:

Once the machine translation step is complete, you can find your translated files in the Files section. You can select your translated file and open it in the segment editor:
