You can use your own MT provider credentials via the Intento MT Hub. To set up a connected Amazon account, you need to:

  1. Obtain Credentials from Amazon Account

  2. Set up a Connected Account in Intento using Amazon Credentials

Obtain Credentials from Amazon Account

To obtain the credentials from Amazon account: 

  1. Log in to Amazon Web Services

  2. Search for IAM using the search bar

  3. Open the IAM console → select Users in the sidebar → click Create User

  4. Specify a username and enable the option Provide user access to the AWS Management Console

  5. Click I want to create IAM user, set a Password, and click Next

    You can set your custom password or choose the option Autogenerated password

  6. Choose Add user to group and click Create group 

  7. Specify a Group Name and select the TranslateFullAccess permission in the Permissions policies list.

    To find this permission, type "translate" in the search bar and click the checkbox next to the required permission, and click Create user group.

  8. Select Add user to group

  9. Select the created group, enabling the checkbox, and click Next

  10. Review the details and click Create User 

  11. Click View user 

  12. On the Summary page, select the Security credentials tab and click Create access key

  13. Select Third-party service and enable the I understand the above recommendation and want to proceed to create an access key checkbox. 

  14. Set the description tag if necessary, and click Create access key

After all the above is done, you will receive two keys, an "Access key" and a "Secret access key", both are required to set up the Connected Account for Amazon. You can copy both keys from the Amazon console or download them in a CSV file. 

The "region" parameter can be obtained by copying the first part of the URL of the Amazon account page.

Set up a Connected Account in Intento using Amazon Credentials

To set a connected Amazon account in Intento:

  1. Go to Intento Console

  2. Click the Connected Accounts

    You need to have at least an MT Expert subscription level with Intento to set up a connected Amazon account.

  3. Scroll down the list of MT providers until you see Amazon

  4. Expand the section and make a selection based on your Amazon key

  5. Click CONNECT YOUR OWN ACCOUNT

  6. Enter a credential name in the Credential ID field, it can be used later as a credential alias in API calls

    Credential name must be unique for each account you connect.

  7. Specify your Amazon account Access key as access_key parameter, Secret key as secret_key parameter, Service as service parameter, and Region as region parameter. You can find Global Link in the top right corner of the page in your Amazon account

  8. Click CHECK AND CONNECT

  9. Wait for the OK status

  10. Select this account as the Default

You are now all set to use the Amazon account with Intento.
