Set Up Intento Connector for Smartcat

Smartcat is an all-in-one translation platform that connects professional translators, language companies, and corporate entities.

The list of requirements to use the Intento connector for Smartcat includes:

• Unite subscription plan in Smartcat 

• Admin role in Smartcat 

• Intento Production API Key.

If you are all set with the requirements:

1. Choose Credentials in the Settings menu:

   

2. Click Add Credential and select the Intento option:

   

3. To save the settings, enter the name for the new credential, populate the Service account key field with the value of the Production API Key in Intento, and click on the SAVE: 

   

4. Move to Translation engine presets, and create several configurations to use in projects:

   

5. In the configuration window, you can specify the following settings that you are willing to use for the specific preset:

   1. Select the previously created credentials 

   2. Set the name for the new Translation engine preset

   3. Define a required routing

   4. Click SAVE

      

6. Once the settings are saved, you can jump right off to try them out on a new project.

   

7. When the file is downloaded, you will be able to apply the settings to your project. Please make sure to do the following:

   1. Set the name for your project 

   2. Choose the language pair

   3. Ensure AI Translation and Review is selected in the Workflow template

   

8. Choose the Linguistic assets tab, and click on the gear icon in the AI translation section:

   

9. Set language(s) with the previously selected Translation engine preset, scroll down the page, and click SAVE & RUN:

   

10. Go to the Files tab and upload file(s) for translation:

    

    When translation is finished, the translation step will be at 100%

11. Click on the filename to open the Smartcat Workbench:
