Using Intento Custom MT
When creating a project in the Project Editor and the Project Template Editor, you can choose whether to use Custom MT.
Configuration Per Project
Use Intento Custom MT the same way any built-in MT engines in XTM are used. Follow your usual project creation workflow (selecting a customer, project name, source and target languages, etc.). As you do that, you will see the Use Intento checkbox in the Machine translation section of the screen:
Make sure to check the Use Intento via Smart Routing checkbox.
Click Choose Model and select Use Custom MT against each language:
Confirm by clicking OK.
Your project is now configured for Intento MT.
Please note that the Populate target with match option determines whether the MT match gets populated to the target:
If you choose Never, the MT match will be present in the Matches section of WorkBench, but not in the target field for the segments.
Currently, there’s no way to automatically repopulate the segments’ target with MT once the project analysis is complete. You’d need to go through the segments one by one and manually choose Accept and insert a match:
Click Create to confirm the project creation and initiate the project analysis.
Intento Machine Translation is active during the project analysis phase before the project workflow starts. Once the project analysis is finished, you will see the updated Machine Translation metrics for your project in the Metrics section:
In Workbench, you will see MT matches in the Status column (1) along with MT matches in the Matches window (2) at the bottom left:
