Create MT Profile in Smartling Account

Smartling is the leading translation management platform to localize content across devices and platforms.

Intento plugin for Smartling allows access to more than 40 stock Machine Translation engines and offers the ability to customize models and fine-tune the output. 

To start using Intento plugin for Smartling, visit Intento Console and ensure that you are signed up for MT Localization subscription plan or have started a free trial. Once you have signed up for the subscription plan, you will be able to obtain the Production API key that you can use for the following setup.

To create an MT Profile:

  1. In Smartling, go to Account Settings → Machine Translation Settings:

  2. Go to the Profiles tab and click Create MT Profile:

  3. Fill out the following details:

    1. The profile name (can correspond to the domain of your project)

    2. Select Intento in the MT Provider section

    3. Copy and paste your API key from Intento Console Dashboard

    4. Fill out the name of the routing table

  4. Once you see the message "Successful connection" after testing your credentials, save the configuration:

  5. Once the preset is saved, you can apply it to the Machine Translation step in the workflow of your project.
