How to set up Intento connector for Smartcat

Smartcat is an all-in-one translation platform that connects professional translators, language companies, and corporate entities. The list of requirements to use Intento connector for Smartcat:
  • Unite subscription plan in Smartcat 
  • Admin role in Smartcat 
  • Intento Production API Key. If you don't have it yet, please contact us via hello@inten.to, we will be happy to assist.

If you are all set, please choose Credentials in the Settings menu:

Then click on Add Credential and select Intento option:

To save the settings, please enter the name for the new credential and define Service account key field with the value of the Production API Key in Intento. Click on the SAVE button. 

Then you can move to Translation engine presets, and create several configurations to use in projects:


In the configuration window you can specify the following settings that you are willing to use for the specific preset

  1. Select the previously created credentials 
  2. Set the name for the new Translation engine preset
  3. Define a required routing
  4. Click on the SAVE button

 

Once the settings are saved, you can jump right off to try them out on a new project.

When the file is downloaded, you will be able to apply the settings to your project. Please make sure to do the following:

  • Set the name for your project 
  • Choose the language pair
  • Ensure AI Translation and Review is selected in the Workflow template

Choose Linguistic assets tab, click on the gear icon in the AI translation section

Set language(s) with the previously selected Translation engine preset, scroll down the page and click on SAVE & RUN button.

Go to Files tab and upload file(s) for translation

When translation will be finished, translation step will be 100%. Click on the filename to open the Smartcat Workbench
